Graphic Scale in JX projection

Added by Federico 9 months ago

How could add a graphic scale (like psbasemap -L) for figures with non-geographical projections?
I want to do a graphic with a seismic line and it would be better to have a graphic scale like the figures of this link ([https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Craig_Magee2/publication/269629735/figure/fig8/AS:271582086037510@1441761623631/Figure-4-Uninterpreted-and-interpreted-seismic-section-highlighting-the-geology-in-the.png]).

Federico, the link doesn't point to an example image.

Ok, I add a figure with a vertical scale (in TWT) and a horizontal one (in km).

Hmm, confess I don't have a simple solution. Given that -L is only for geographical data one idea is that you could play with the psbasemap -D option (inset map) to inset a map that would be your map scale. Note that the scale would be the same of the main map. See example 44 in cookbook

It would be very difficult to modified -L to work with JX projection?

Not sure and I also don't know why it wasn't implemented in first place. Let Paul arrive from his cruise and here from him.
