problem annotating radial axis with psbasemap in polar coordinates

Added by Mike 7 months ago

Hi,
I am trying to make a plot using polar coordinates, but cannot get any scale annotation to show up on my radial axis.
I used this command:

gmt psbasemap -R0/360/0/10 -JP5i -Bxa30f30g30 -Bya2g2 -K -P

-Bxa30f10g30 gives me annotation, ticks, and grid every 30 degrees around the circle, but -Bya2g2 only gives gridlines, no annotation. How do I get numbers to show up giving scale to my radial axis?
Thanks
Mike

We do not yet have a mechanism for annotating an internal axis. This derives from most plotting being geographic maps. I suggest you open a feature request based on your posting. Meanwhile, you can probably add an r-axis with psbasemap and a linear projection with a -X -Y offset to start at your circle's origin.
