LOS displacement calculation

Added by Sekhar about 2 years ago

Hello,

I have been processing Sentinel-1 data over recent 7.3 magnitude Iran Iraq earthquake.
I observed that my filtered interferogram has nearly 34 fringes which corresponds to 95cm of displacement at C-band. But, my LOS result shows maximum displacement of 40cm only. Why is this so?
My colleague processed the same data in a commercial InSAR software and observed nearly 1 meter deformation which closely matches with the deformation for number of fringes observed.

Filtered interferogram and LOS displacement map are attached for your reference.

Regards,
Sekhar

Hi Sekhar,

Could you run a `gmt grdinfo` on the los grid? I suspect the color of the LOS plot saturated.

Also there is a possibility when the data is detrended, the magnitude gets smaller. (not sure)

Cheers,

You are right. The color of LOS plot saturated. Thanks.
