grdimage puts a +xy in the PS command instead of +latlong
|Status:||In Progress||Start date:||2016-12-20|
|Target version:||Candidate for next bugfix release|
This was raised in http://gmt.soest.hawaii.edu/boards/1/topics/4494?r=4500 and results from the fact that the PS comment gets a %@PROJ: ... +xy instead of a +latlong
grdmath -R-116.85/-116.75/34.316667/34.383056 -I0.01 X = lixo.grd
grdimage lixo.grd -P > lixo.ps
psconvert lixo.ps -W+k
psconvert: Warning: An unknown psconvert setting was found but since image coordinates seem to be geographical, a linear transformation will be used.
psconvert: Warning: gmt_gdalread failed to convert the proj4 string
- Status changed from New to In Progress
Ofc, those messages don't show up if the grid is created as geographic, e.g
grdmath -R-116.85/-116.75/34.316667/34.383056 -I0.01 X -fg = lixo.grd
So not sure if there is anything one can do here besides trying to catch this case and provide a more clear warning message.
