The -L option can set frame counters and any item from the input_ times.txt_ file. However, we wish to also allow either elapsed time and absolute time:

  1. Elapsed time could be selected via -Le and optionally take a scale +s<scale> to indicate the elapsed real time per frame [Default is implied by the frame rate].
  2. Absolute time would be read via one of the data columns and indicated if that column is selected in -L then we consult the FORMAT_DATE_MAP and FORMAT_DATE_CLOCK settings for formatting.

The -L option needs to be repeatable so that one can set both a frame counter in one corner and a clock in another.

The -L option is now repeatable (up to 16 times ...). I added a check for absolute time but not tested yet. I have not yet added elapsed time due to lack of an elapsed time format in GMT.

Tested and absolute time tagging works fine. Added -Le for elapsed time as well and tested. Closing this feature request soon.
