Description

Hi

I saw that in GMT5 it is possible to specify custom annotations in files on the -B option. If possible it wold be great if this could also be achieved directly at the command line using a comma separated list of values to annotate, set frame marks/grid lines at.

Suggested syntax could be capital letters AFG to separate from current use of small letters. e.g.
-BA1,3,7,13
would annotate values 1,3,7,13 at the x-axis, possibly one could also introduce :label to set a custom label at a specific value, e.g.
-BA1:one,3:three,7:seven,13
would set the annotations one, three, seven, 13 at 1, 3, 7, 13
