Description

I came to the need of plotting a grid with a waterfall effect like the one attached. It is a pity to have to use Matlab for that purpose. I feel that an extra option to grdview might do the trick.

That should be doable. I assume the only options would be to show f(x,y) for constant y or f(x,y) for constant x. The pen can be picked up via -W. So perhaps a new option -Dx|y[step] to set the choice, i.e. -Dx means plot z as function of x, for each y, which -Dy means plot z as function of y, for each x. The optional step means draw every step profile only.

I see you did this in 5.2.0. -Q is OK, but perhaps add the x|y modifier, and maybe let -W set the pen?

OK, -Qm[x|y] polygon coloring included, plus line specs via -W implemented in r12842.
